- Pre-arrival list - A preliminary list of incoming consignments is emailed one week before the vessel reaches Iceland.
- Arrival notice - A firm arrival notice goes out the day before confirmed ETA.
- Document release - All shipment papers are ready on the vessel’s day of arrival. We post them to the consignee unless they prefer to pick them up at our reception.
- Customs clearance - Jónar Transport clears all shipments on the day of arrival for customers who request it.
- LCL cargo is ready no later than 12:00 on Thursday.
- FCL containers are ready for onward haulage no later than 12:00 on Thursday.
- Delivery orders placed before 12:00 are executed the same day, orders placed after 12:00 are delivered by 12:00 the next working day.
- Registration - All incoming air-freight shipments must be registered before 12:00.
- Arrival notice - Sent to the customer immediately after registration.
- Customs clearance - Performed the same day for customers who request it.
- Cargo release - Shipments received in the morning are ready for collection as soon as customs clearance is complete.
- Home delivery - Target is to complete delivery within four hours of customs release.
- Arrival notice is emailed as soon as the consignment is registered.
- All courier shipments are delivered no later than 14:00.
- Jónar Transport handles customs clearance for every courier shipment.
- Courier – same-day flight - Pick-up order must reach us by 12:00. Export paperwork by 11:00 the same day.
- General air freight - Cargo must arrive at our warehouse by 14:00 (flies the next day). Booking & documents by 11:00 the same day. Dangerous goods require an extra 24 hours.
- Sea freight – LCL (loose cargo) - Cargo must be in the warehouse by 12:00 on Wednesday. Export documents no later than Tuesday.
- Sea freight – FCL (full containers) - Container must be ready at the exporter’s site by 16:00 on Wednesday. Export documents no later than Tuesday.
